When I sent this link to my students last weekend, I had no idea I would see it bounce back to my own in-box from so many other sources. Many of you have forwarded this link to me, so I am taking the hint and getting it posted.

Thatsnotcool.com is a partnership between the Family Violence Prevention Fund, the Ad Council and the Office on Violence Against Women. Its goal is to raise awareness of teen digital dating abuse and features videos, stories, and an interesting section called Callout Cards.

I love the idea of the site and the videos and stories are fantastic. There’s some unbelievably good information on the site and if you work with adolescents (or have some at home) it’s a great resource. I feel a bit ambivalent about the Callout Cards, though. We’ve been discussing them this week in the course I’m teaching. I’d love to hear what others think about them, though. Either way, its a slick campaign and worth checking out. Particularly if you get wonky over new media like I do.

  3. The feedback I’ve heard has been a bit of ambivalence, but to be honest, I haven’t heard too many people’s takes on it yet. Anyone else have an opinion they want to share?
